The chapter 5 test was all free response questions.  The kids prefer the free response because they can get partial credit.  This chapter was split up by winter break so students were required to study more than normal.  Because of this, they actually did really well on the test.  We think that since we spent so much time working on a conceptual understanding of binomials, students were able to do well even though it had been almost 3 weeks.  Also, the foldables and practice problems for normal distribution calculations were very effective. Below is a distribution of the scores.​
