The quiz had only two questions on it. One four-step problem for a two proportion confidence interval and one for a two proportion significance test. There were no issues with the quiz. Students did well, it was pretty straight forward. We used the 4 Step Confidence Intervals Template and the 4 Step Significance Tests Template for the quizzes this chapter. By time we get to the test, students will not have these to use.
Teaching Tip:
We split up this chapter into three sections: difference in proportions, difference in means and mean difference. This helped students avoid mixing up the formulas on the quizzes. But make sure to give students an opportunity to practice before the test when they will need to decipher between the types.
