Students did well with calculating a confidence interval and running the significance test for the matched pairs.  Since they knew the quiz was only on sections 9.5 and 9.6, they knew they only needed to use the formulas for matched pairs.  Make sure to have questions on the quiz where students have to decide what type of test to run based on a given scenario.  Students had a hard time deciphering between a two sample t test and a one sample t test (matched pairs).​
